Physical Traits

            The legion of evil is a collective of magical beings from the days of origin. Categorized as Earth Dwellers, they resemble a small toad-like or frog-like humanoid. As bi-pedal creatures, they walk on two legs with human-like arms and hands with opposable thumbs. These creatures were once colorfully patterned, vibrant beings, yet the dark magic they harbored warped and changed them, covering their body with a flesh-like growing mold. Their bodies extract a slimy film, often acidic or toxic to other beings. Though they require no worldly nourishment to survive, they often eat creatures for the effect of disturbing other beings. Their unusual and powerful form of magic allows them to live as long as they choose. They will never die of natural causes.

Magical Abilities

            These creatures acquired a rare and powerful form of magic, often called “Earth Magic,” stemming from their original abilities to manipulate and move the earth. In the Days of Origin, these beings were given the power and ability to control the earth, a form of “creation magic”. These beings deceitfully convinced other magic bearers to empower them with “life magic”, another powerful form of creation magic. This combination of magic created a unique and potent form of magic far more powerful than was meant for beings of this world. Access to such powerful magic corrupted the minds of the earth dwellers, accentuating and multiplying their negative and selfish thoughts. Their choices and use of magic corrupted the magic further, changing the original power into a highly toxic and powerful form of magic often called “Earth Magic.” This magic combines the ability to control elements of the earth with the ability to create or infuse life. This allowed them to create other earth-like beings, or the ability to alter the physical appearance and functionality of other beings. Those who possess this magic must willfully surrender such magic to higher powers. It cannot be taken from them against their will.

Historical Knowledge

            The only known history of these creatures comes from the ancient sagas with tales from the days of origin. The ancient sagas tell of a group of beings that deceived both dragons and humans, stealing a higher form of magic from both groups. With this combined form of magic, they could create outside the realm of balance. The unchecked power corrupted the minds of those that possessed it, introducing the first form of evil creation, a being designed only for destruction. Upon discovery of their evil creation, the high fairy visited the beings and banished them. Unable to take their magic, the high fairy buried the beings deep within the earth. Their only option for escape came through the use of their magic to return to the surface, an act that would qualify as willfully sacrificing their magic. The creator imprisoned those who egregiously rebelled against nature in materials foreign to their world. These materials prevented them from using their powerful magic to escape. The isolation drove some to sacrifice their corrupted magic, although many others lay wait, buried deep within the earth.
